Today's Pooch Cafe'
Credit card company hiked up my card limit another few hundred dollars (seven hundred, to be exact) because I'd gone for a couple months w/o even having anything on my bill, and I'd also paid off the few things I did have at one point all at once, with no interest.
Instead of upping my credit limit, lower my interest percentage!!! Jeez! I've had the darn thing for a few years now. I obviously use it. I'm obviously smart with the way I use it. Give a college girl a chance!
This is just a journal about me. My friends, my family, work, and mostly about my life. I write this to keep my family and friends updated with what is going on in my life now that I live two states away from them.

Halo 2
Today's Pooch Cafe' Tee hee hee
Yay! Jill's coming over to visit! We haven't talked in a long time. She stopped in at work on Halloween to look for a costume, and that's about the last time I've seen her.
Also, every phone call I answered today at work was:
Customer: "Hi, I was wondering if you had Halo 2?"
Me: "No, I'm sorry, we're all out"
Customer: "So you just ran out just now?"
Me: "No, we ran out some time yesterday, but I wasn't working, so I don't know."
Thinking: Does it matter when we ran out? No. We're out.
Customer: "Man, I've tried calling everywhere! No one has it!"
Me: Sorry to hear that. We'll be getting some in soon, though.
Thinking: Maybe you should have been like the 300 other geeks and waited outside the mall for five hours so you could buy it when they opened at midnight.
Customer: "Okay, thanks."
GAH! Every phone call! Well, one little old lady asked about some nutrition book that I couldn't find, but she doesn't count.

YAY! I bought tickets to go see Wes over New Years. I'm really excited. I don't think Mom and Dad were too happy, but I really miss him. I found a really cheap ticket, I'll be out there for 8 days, and I actually bought the ticket for a little cheaper than what the site said.
Also, we have no school tomorrow, and I don't have to work 'til 3:30 in the afternoon, so I get to sleep in! Yay! And I get to go home this weekend. Mom's scheduling pedicures for the two of us :) Yay! And she says Smelly Cat has been attacking Nermal the last few weeks, instead of the other way around. Good kitty. Such a good last couple of days. So far.
Took a nice long nap today. Felt great. Except I've been taking too many naps lately. Need to quit doing that.

Music: Diamond Rio - One More Day
Our music teacher was out of town today, so we just had to drop off our 5 outlines, pick up a "job card" and we were gone! Sounds great. But this "job card" thing is a bunch of bullshit. She didn't even update it for our class! She wants us to write a melody with a set of given notes on a pentatonic scale. THEN write a haiku and another melody to go with it. Good thing I have a week to do it.
I'm out of food. Which means a trip to the store is in order, which also means that I finally get some cinnamon and sugar so I don't have to choke down toast with just butter on it.
Well, I'm off to check my laundry!

bah!
Today's Pooch Cafe'
I have just not been having a good night/day. Last night of course at work is obvious. Then as I'm trying to go to bed, I dropped the remote to my tv down the side of my bed. that weighs 400 pounds. and I can't reach my arm down in there, and it's still stuck between the bed and the wall, it hasn't even dropped to the floor yet.
I couldn't sleep, either. I woke up every hour or so, and I just couldn't get comfortable. So I skipped Bio this morning to catch up, because man, do I feel like crap. Hope things start to pick up soon. I'm gonna poke my eyes out if they don't.

...on the plus side
Mom is getting pedicures scheduled for the both of us for this coming weekend when I get to go home. That makes me feel better. And Adam gave me a cyber-hug, so that helped a little, too. Now if I could only get someone to pop my back, 'cause my shoulder hurts like a bitch...
layaway is hell
Today's Pooch Cafe'
Tonight was pure Hell. I'm glad I don't live with anyone right now, because I would rip into them for the littlest thing.
Okay. So tonight was "Friends and Family" night, where friends and family (duh) of employees were allowed 10% off of all purchases, just as employees would have. Also, there were a lot of other sales. And no layaway charges, as there is usually a $5 layaway charge.
Well, that was the light for the moths, my friends. At 7pm there was a page over the intercom system asking for assistance in layaway. I was heading that direction anyway, to go to my break, so I stopped by to help the solitary customer back there. Grant stopped by and saw that I was kinda swamped by this lady's stuff, so he came and helped me out. And then they just started pouring in. Every customer had a shopping cart full of no less than 30 items.
For every item, you had to key in "Override" then "75" then "% off". FOR EVERY FUCKING ITEM! And usually, it required a manager override. So Grant would have to step in, put his override code in, turn a key, whatever. And then it would start all over again.
It was like this, with a steady flow of people, carts full, for two and a half hours. We had four people back there at one point. After we'd ring up all their stuff, it needed bagged. Then put in the correct place. OMG. Layaway is such shit. I'm never doing it again.
I didn't get my last break, I ended up working an extra 15 minutes after the store closed 'cause these people came through with a cart full of like, 30 sale clothing items, a shit load of comforters that were 40% off, blah blah blah. GRRRR. This is getting stupid.
*sigh* I need a hug.

Nothing
Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Mason Jennings - Nothing
Tonight at work sucked 'cause they threatened to keep us past 10pm if we didn't get the shelves straightened by the time we closed. It was gay. We got out 10 minutes early. I did suffer a few minor scrapes and scratches from doing Christmas freight today. What a bitch. And I think I'm going to have to learn layaway pretty quick, as the holiday season is soon upon us.
Wes went to his football game today and can barely speak from screaming and yelling all afternoon. It's amusing.
Almost bed time. Yay!
Music: Mason Jennings - Nothing
"Nothing"
Make yourself at home, 'cause i'm going out
Across the street to get us some water
'cause this water's brown, and i'm so embarrassed
To have you here but i want you around
Usually i'd sing, or play you my guitar
But i know it won't get very far with you
'cause you like music that makes you move
And mine has a groove, but it's nothing i can prove
Please know what I mean
When i say, nothing
Things that i buy and things that i think
Haven't made this a better place to be
Drugs that i try and drinks that i drink
Haven't made this a better place to be
It's still just a room with the drums in the middle
A couch along the wall that works as my bed
I still have a phone that rings all day
I still have things i wish i would of said
Please know what i mean
When i say, nothing
When i say
This whole thing's been hard on me
It breaks my heart, do you know what that means
My new place seems strange to me
It breaks my heart, do you know what that means
It means nothing

football
I love how when Wes wants to go to sleep 'cause he's sick and tired, but I ask him college football questions and he won't shut up. Tee hee.
Got registered for all my classes except one because I have to be registered in the College of Education before I can get into it, which I can't start doing until Monday. Oh well.
I need to start taking more pictures of things, so I'm going to start taking my camera around with me from now on.
